Physicians trained and specializing in Naturopathic medicine combine the wisdom of nature with the rigorous modern science. Naturopathic medicine focuses on holistic, preventative, minimally invasive, and comprehensive diagnosis and treatment. Our goal is to use the most minimally invasive therapies to help support the body's inherent ability to restore and maintain optimal health.
To become a Naturopathic physician, you must go through rigorous medical training and multiple board examinations to attain a license. Naturopathic physicians are equipped to diagnose and treat conditions which include but are not limited to acute illnesses, digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, obesity, respiratory diseases, chronic pain, and adrenal fatigue.
During your first naturopathic office visit, you can expect to sit down and go through a comprehensive intake, so Dr. Gurevich can thoroughly understand your ailments and health goals. After gathering as much information that is needed, a personalized plan, adjusted to the patient's needs, is set up with a management strategy. Naturopathic medicine is effective as preventative medicine as well as chronic and acute illnesses.
Laboratory analysis plays a large part in the diagnosis and treatment process. It is vital to fully understand what the body is doing internally so that we can understand what our primary focus should be. As part of your initial intake, we will review any labs that you have performed within the last year. We will usually then order any missing labs to help us further work up your case. This allows us to gather as much information as possible before we begin on your treatment plan.
